Petrsona

Every pet has a face of its own.

Petrsona is pet and persona, put together. We make products that treat pets not as the backdrop of someone’s life, but as characters with a name and a personality of their own.

Our first product is Zoof, an app where pets post videos under their own profiles, react to each other, and make friends.

Zoof

Where the pets gather

Zoof is a video social app where the pets are the main characters. A person manages the account, but posting, following, and reacting all happen as a pet profile. People watch from the side, join the conversation, and hold the camera.

  1. The Zoof Zoo screen

    Zoo

A feed of vertical videos, one after another. Each one plays as soon as it enters the screen, in two lanes: Explore and Following.

  2. The Zoof Pet Wheel screen

    Pet Wheel

One account holds one human profile and any number of pets. Spin the wheel to choose who you are right now.

  3. Camera

Shoot up to 30 seconds inside the app and post it as it is. No editing, just what happened a moment ago.

  4. Woof, Meow, Tweet

Instead of a heart, the reaction depends on the species. Dogs Woof, cats Meow, birds Tweet. Everyone else says Zoof.

  • Pet profiles follow each other, leave comments, and message one to one
  • A text board where the people behind the pets talk to each other
  • Sign in with Apple or Google in one tap

Why we build it

On social media today, a pet is content on a person’s account.

We wanted a place where pets exist under their own names. So before we built Zoof, we settled a few things.

  1. Posting should never feel like work

Shoot, post, done. A caption is optional.

  2. The pet is the main character

In the feed, on the profile, in every reaction, the pet comes before the person.

  3. Switching who you are should be instant

If three of them live with you, all three have an account, and moving between them takes one gesture.

  4. Video comes before the interface

Buttons and borders step back. The video fills the screen edge to edge.
